Silence of Touch is about embodying our life, using the body as the doorway to the natural intelligence of our being. It is unique, as it combines bodywork, trauma work and meditation. It is the emphasis on present loving touch - using touch as a safe holding space - where the energies of trauma can be released. This is where healing becomes a meditation in touch.
Rebalancing Bodywork recognises the interconnectedness of our body-being and that our emotions are not just mental experiences but also have physical components. This approach aims to release emotional tensions that are held in the body, exploring the psychosomatic content. Touch has a healing power that opens doors for the body to release and discharge. The necessity of touch is becoming widely recognised for its tremendous contribution to healing and well-being.
This training provides a thorough foundation and understanding for the Rebalancing Bodywork Technique and so much more! It is a synthesis of structural, deep tissue massage techniques and working with the psychosomatic content. Through inner exploration we generate awareness, deepening our ‘felt sense’. Understanding how emotional and psychological tension manifests somatically is key. Touch is an art form which continuously evolves with our deepening understanding of the mystery of 'Touch' - this is the beauty of the work. It integrates beautifully with other touch based and therapeutic approaches.

This module is a very rich one. We will work with the anatomy of the upper body - exploring the related themes like support and stability, which are reflected in our back.
The spine is the central column, which our upper body anchors into. It enables us to rise into life, to move into joy, expression, creation. It carries us, gives us backbone, gives us strength and courage to be where we are. The shoulders give us the strength to fly and to create - they anchor creative action. As we move into the neck, which is in a continual flux, balancing our head - we meet the themes of control, fear of letting go, trust and being in balance - inner alignment. We look into ways of touching that release neck trauma and allow us to trust and 'fall in', ways that open the throat, help us to find our voice, our expression.
|The Chest - and breathing into life.
Here we meet the complex world of our hearts - our longing to love and dissolve, to melt, to expand, to be free - and our fear of letting it all in.
In this module we make our way into the shoulder girdle and into the chest, the diaphragm, the breath. We will be exploring the muscles of the chest, the flexibility of the rib cage, releasing the pectorals and diaphragm, loosening the shoulders, and exploring our breathing patterns.
|We explore the heart, the pains, longings, disappointments all of which manifest in the body as tensions, defensive attitudes, shallow breathing ... and how we get locked in! Perhaps we can let the heart fly and experience its silences also.
Giving and receiving, the duality of life, of being seen, and embracing the opposites….
|An awareness of our breathing cycle is essential, because all tension reflects in the breath. Whenever we do anything that requires physical effort, we tend to hold the breath. Patanjali explores it in Yoga and Buddha created the amazing Vipassana Technique, which took many people beyond the known. The breath has much potential and if you observe it in your sessions, it reveals so much!
Breathing is one of the things to be looked after because it is one of the most important things. If you are not breathing fully, you cannot live fully. Then almost everywhere you will be withholding something, even in love. In talking even, you will be withholding. You will not communicate completely; something will always remain incomplete. The breathing passage has a certain musculature around it, and if you have been breathing wrongly – and almost everybody is – then the musculature has become fixed. Now it will take many years to change it by your own effort, and it will be an unnecessary waste of time. Through deep massage, those muscles relax and then you can start again. But once you start breathing well, don’t fall into the old habit again.

Our legs and feet are foundational, as they walk and carry us through life. We have seen how mind and body are one, your attitude to life will be reflected in the body. So how you walk is going to reflect, how you carry yourself in life.

The legs really are a powerful, dynamic energy - agile and flexible. They support vitality and joy - and stand for balance, stability, grounding and connected-ness.
Through touch, body reading, joint release & movement and inquiry, we explore the world of the legs and feet - Learning to resource and connect again to strength, power, vitality - expanding into who we really are, and having the courage to walking it!
We meet the world with the front of our body and we usually have a sense for what’s behind us - but when something comes at us sideways, we are thrown!
The side session puts the body into neutral - connecting the upper and lower, integrating the left and right sides. This gives us a three dimensional access for touch. It balances our left and right hemispheres.
We may be touched here in the masculine and the feminine parts of ourselves, possibly relieving us of the tensions of efforting and functioning, regulating our nervous system and making space for allowing receptivity.
The side session is something special, as it provides a deep restfulness, where we are nurtured and held. It is particularly suitable for pregnant women and anyone who has difficulties lying on their back or belly. It is a rare experience, as there is hardly any bodywork that approaches the body from the side. People absolutely love it !

Anu and Gyana have been working together for 15 years, teaching psychosomatic bodywork. This work is the expression of their rich life experience: Having lived in Osho´s Buddhafield, followed by the challenge of conscious parenting and relating, they both bring long term experience in working with people.
